I like the following Counter-Strike advise in our EvIL Clan Forum from one of our visitors on “How to Get Good”. Interesting submission.

My Ways Of Getting Good .. LEARN PATTERNS.

Get Good Quick, Go Into An Empty Game .. Learn The Patterns Of All Guns .. The Way They Spray During Strafing .. Ect Ect ..

SMGs .. I Can Spray And Pray HS All Day Long, By Aiming Certain Ones At The Feet Of My Opponents, You HS. Gotta Learn Which Ones, That’s Up For You To Find Out.

Riffles, 1-3 Shots Max Before You Cool Down On The Recoil. Ducking Helps A Lot, But Leaves You Wide Open If You Don’t Have Great Aim Yet.

Pistols .. Aim A Bit Above The Head, HS. Simple.

Snipes, Don’t Need To Explain This One. But If You Are On Scout .. The Scout Knivez Way Of Switching Between Scout And Knife Is The Leetness.

Nade .. Different Levels, Different Ways. Gotta Learn The Levels. Example .. Churches .. Best Way To Nade? Off The Church .. Either To The Side Where People Run Up And There Tends To Be A Lot Of Scrapping Going On .. OR MY FAVORITE .. The Spinning Ladder Nade .. You Can Hear It Spin .. Shoot People While They Run Behind The Church You Are Standing On. When They Climb Up The Ladder .. Drop It Right Down The Ladder .. It Makes A Sweet Spinning Noise And Lands On Their Head .. If They Move Up It Moves Up With Them Till It Blows, Death, GG SUCKA.

Again, Get Better By Learning Patterns Of Guns.. That’s The Only Way To Be Good, Shoot At Different Targets On Maps Strafing, Ducking, Popping Around Corners .. Ect Ect.

Once You Master Shooting, You Move Onto Sound.

Sound Is What Makes A Good Player, Great. If You Don’t Use Head Phones When You Play, You’re Blowing It.

I Have 1000 Dollar Monitors Hooked Up To My Computer, They Don’t Compare To What You Get From Headphones.

Foot Steps = Godly, Gun Shots = Godly. Those 2 Sounds Alone Let You Know Where Your Enemy Is.

You Want To Be Good, GO PRACTICE.
